In January 1982 a small group of friends thought it might be fun to start a drama group in Christ Church, Luton. The response was most encouraging and at Easter of that year (which coinsided with the last service in the old Victorian Church building) the Luton Players presented "The Vigil", an Easter play. The die was cast, within a year we had presented two one act plays, our first Pantomime (Cinderella) and an Agatha Christie who dunit.

In the last 32 years we have presented over 100 plays and shows, including Pantomimes, Variety Shows, Musicals, Murder Mystery Evenings and of course since the Junior Group began in 1991 over 30 Junior Productions. During this time the group has maintained its Christian ethos, Whilst always being open to all.

We are most grateful for the warm welcome we received from St Matthews when we were in need of a new home and for the rehearsal facilities provided by The Church of Christ the King in Princes Park.

Since then, we have settled into our new homes very well and have continued to enjoy being able to meet friends. As well as support each other in our respective roles. We now have another generation of Juniors that has progressed into the adult group and some of our Juniors are even taking on roles on the technical mside and helping back stage.

We all continue to appreciate our supporters who have been with us a long time. As well as new folk who come along to watch our production. We hope that we amuse and entertain you all.
